I haven't written anything in awhile so i figured hheey why not.... I got accepted into the bridge program to get my R.N. which I will, with Gods help of course, pass and be an official R.N. by may or june 2011:) yeeeaahhh!!!! Also Im starting to Kinda get the hang of my job but its still so very full of surprises... like yesterday I worked the longest shift I have ever worked in my life 19 hrs!!! (i should be a doctor....lololol) anyways my CNA coems and gets me and she says come quick this lady is bleeding soooo i walk into the shower room and sure enough blood everywhere! My heart started racing! The lady looked fine though so I asked her to stand and bend over if she could and BBBAAAAMMM there it was! It appeared to be a prolapsed rectum and/or bladder! I was so confused with what I saw and I couldn't understand! I touched it and It was soooo squishy So i acted all cool and collective asked the res some questions and left! I called the NPA to let him know what the deal was and he said it was probably hemmorhoids! I thought WHHAATT I have never seen hemorrhoids so engorged and so freakishly big in my life!! So were just monitoring it! Anyways that was just one of many things that happened yesterday! I was crazy busy and thought wow... I know I get paid very well but it comes with a PRICE... my sleep and possibly my sanity...llolol

WHY???

Ok so today was so crazy! About 1400 today I was getting my things ready because I was getting off my shift at 1430 when all of a sudden my cna's had to change a resident from a stiff hard bed that can give you bed sores to a pressure relief AKA very soft and reduces pressure sore matress.... well the lady has mental issue so she freaked out and started telling them to get out of her house and that they shouldnt touch anything and etc etc etc..... welll I came after they were done with the bed and tried to get her to calm down and she started to kick me and punch me and pull my hair like a savage so I instructed my cna to go get the medical assistant to put some ABH(calming/sedating) gell on her...... well she was threatning all of us I had to hold her down to get the cream on her and when we finally got it on her i tried to let her go slowly and move out of her was but she wiped off some of the gel from her neck and hands and slapped me in my neck with it!!! She continued to kick and scream so i had to keep holding her down to apply some more... finally we were done and I remembered she had put some cream on my face so I went to wash it off but it was already dry.... I left home about 1440 already feeling weird but was able to somewhat keep it together until 1630 im not sure waht happened but i got sooooooooooooooo sleepy and could barely keep my eyes open it was horrible! I just got up like a few minutes ago and I finally don't feel like ive been drinking ....lol I feel sooo much better... now i guess i just gotta wait and see tomorrow because the lady told me that shes bringin her rifle and getting a court order so that tomorrow when i eneter her house she can shoot me with it and it would be within her rights here in the state of Texas!....LOLOLOLOLOL

Why Hello!?!!!

So toDAY WAS EXTREMELY TIRING AND I was so tired i didnt want to go workout but i said to myself i better do it its good for me..... then eli who is my workout partner couldnt go so i didnt go........ no bueno. But it does feel good to come home and just relax a bit since im on my toes all day! And Elisa as for ur question I do loooove christy and I also happen to love the love comes softly series which i got ur momma hooked on...lol seriously she loved them... there a christian series based on janette okes books and its wonderful.... I also lovvve pride and prejudice both the old version with colin firth and the new version with keira knightley :) I love almost all classics both the books and the movies yes nerdy i know but some of us do instruments and some of us do books/movies...lololol Para eso Dios hiso los colores... right? to each their own....lol ok enough of that. Moving on... i just bought Kaleb a game thats kinda like hugry hungry hippos he loves it and I do to cause he is super entretenido.... :) no j/k ive actually been playing with him cause everytime eli and I play card games he trys to be part of the gmae so now i bought one that he can actually play and enjoy... :) ..... alright... well this is jessica gsthings reporting live from keene tx apt 54 back to you roger....

Im so tired!!

Ok where to start.... im soooo tired!! I just started working at my job and they have me running around like crazy and apparently since ive been "catching" on fast they just pile on more and more papers i have to learn to fill out :( i feel more like a secretary than a nurse... no bueno! I sprained my ankle on sun and still went to work like that on mon and managed to work out amongst the pain thought my dad did help me out by messaging it a bit. I woke up today so tired my body is aching and went to work. To top it off a lady coded today at 6:45 this morning and your truly performed CPR.... This is something Ive been wanting to do foreveer i just never wanted my first time to be a child or old person and thats what i got unfortunately. She was so little and fragile i broke all her bones in her chest and whats worse is i felt them all pop over and over it was horrible. I started crying while i was performing CPR from the horror. It was not good. Needless to say she didnt make it :(. The rest of my morning was more like a blur. Im still pretty bummed about it. Oh so addressing previous comments made by sabrina and elisa... sabrina i love watching the rain and for ur info i think a dog would watch the rain more than a cat cuz the cats will be to busy trying to sleep(their lazy) and elisa I do love Anne of Green Gables the movies and the books and ill have u know I LLLOOOVVEE la casita en el prarie ... Now What!! U r one to talk about my nerdiness , Ms. I love playing the clarinet and violin for fun and spend my time off in band camps!! lolol

BUENO!

Today was a better day at work. I wasn't as lost but at the nursing home the nurses station has glass all around it and all the residents gather around with their little wheelchairs and just stair.. I feel like im on display like were at the zoo and im the animal..... i have became the object of their affections...lool.... On a different note.... a certain teacher at Keene highschool has been caught having a not so respectable relationship with some of his/her students. Now all I am saying is whats on the Fort Worth star telegram (elisa if u r interested look up the telegram online and type in Keene and you shall see the story)! Man i never thought something like that would ever happen in keene... well i guess i always knew it could and would but i never thought anyone would get caught being as this town is sooo little but I guess not! well thats my chisme for the day i thought i would let you know our latest news story..... lets see what else can i say.... OH yes i have been watching one of my all time favorite movies lately its called Anne of Green Gables... its awesome still as good as ever ! .... k i guess im going to go so i can watch the rain fall outside my window....

So I had my very first day of work today as an offical nurse! I see ur smiles of congrats on ur faces... well wipe them off and u will soon know why...lol. First I was sooooo completely lost and felt like i knew absolutely nada, therefore my actions reflected so:( For example, taking someones blood sugar is the absolute easiest thing on the planet. I had done it millions of times before so tell me why it took me 20 min to just get one reading. I went through 4 sticks (without poking the pt) i couldn't get the darn aparrato to work. Then finally when i took a deep breath and slowed down i finally got it. Then when i finally poked the poor lady the blood decided not to come out and when i tried to squeeze the finger to make it come out she screamed bloody murder!!!! SHE SCARED ME SOO MUCH I ALMOST elbowed her in the face out of sheer reaction... but thank goodness i didnt. Then there was this cute lady who went around stalking me because she wanted me to put her to bed; that was so hilarious i must of told her at least 30 times before lunch that she needed to chill in her chair. Then I had this other old lady who was meann! she kept cussing up a storm if we didnt give her what she wanted. She hated having the chair alarm on her chair and she needed to use the restroom so she came up to the nurses station and yelled at me saying "HEY CAN U TAKE ME TO THE BATHROOM I NEED TO POOP(she used the other word u know the one that starts with an S) and i can't because u wont take this beep beep alarm off !! I laughed sooo hard cuz shes about 87...lol. Ahhh last but certainly not the least... This old man told me i could sleep in his room anytime i wanted!!!eeewww.....!!! These old folks.... there funny, nasty, rude, but sooo cute.... lolol

OK so I'm not really sure how this works or what the heck I'm doing but Eli told me about this just like 20 min ago and said Elisa blogs every night because apparently the bino challenged her to do it everyday without a miss.... So i thought wow i could actually speak to Elisa? Like the REAL Elisa not "Edna"?
